JMP Early Childhood Iowa Seeks New Board Member

May 18th, 2016:  The JMP Early Childhood Iowa Area Board is seeking a new board member effective July 2016.  As defined by the Iowa Code Chapter 69.16A and Chapter 256I.7 the board is required to practice gender balance and will be looking for a male who is “an individual representing the business perspective on the JMP Early Childhood Iowa board”.  This means a person who works or owns a business and lives in Poweshiek County.

The JMP board is charged with allocating  State of Iowa appropriated funds in Jasper, Marion and Poweshiek Counties.  The board will be allocating approximately $703,000 beginning July in the form of grants to programs in the three counties that provide programming to children ages 0-5 and their families.
