May 18th, 2016: The JMP Early Childhood Iowa Area Board is seeking a new board member effective July 2016. As defined by the Iowa Code Chapter 69.16A and Chapter 256I.7 the board is required to practice gender balance and will be looking for a male who is “an individual representing the business perspective on the JMP Early Childhood Iowa board”.

The Poweshiek County Alliance (PCA) honored its 2014 grant recipients at a ceremony at the Foundation Offices on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Representatives from the 35 winning organizations received their checks and spoke about their projects. At a grant ceremony held at the Foundation Offices in Grinnell on July 6, 2015, Tim Douglas, President of the GPCF board, presented 10 awards to nonprofits and public entities throughout Poweshiek County. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Marshall, 81, founder and past president of the Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation. Tom died yesterday in the Mayflower Health Center after battling colon cancer. Two of Tom’s three children were with him and the third completed a visit just a few days ago. Services for Tom will be
